Friends and fellow hobbyists,
My fascination with the aquarium hobby began over 35 years ago with a 10 gallon aquarium and a half dozen fancy guppies under the Christmas tree. In the years since, I've maintained many freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
In 2008 I built my first custom aquarium background and within a few months built a second. I've since built a dozen aquatic and semi-aquatic backgrounds I felt were worthy of scrutiny from the hobby community.
In the fall of 2009 I was fortunate enough to speak on the subject of building aquarium backgrounds at the Midwest Cichlid Association's MCA Expo in Grandview, Missouri.
In December of 2009, Dramatic AquaScapes was born with the hopes to further contribute and promote participation in the aquarium hobby.
Earlier this year, I was invited to speak again on my latest do-it-yourself exploits at the Heart of America Aquarium Society's January club meeting in Kansas City.
I extend a sincere thank you to everyone who has supported my interest in developing the Dramatic AquaScapes website and look forward to the aquatic adventures that lay ahead for all of us.
